Round 2 of the NI Junior Foil Series was held last Saturday 9 December 2017 at RBAI in the centre of Belfast. Eleven SU fencers were in attendance, competing in 4 of the 7 age group categories.

Izzy Evans reached the semi-final stage where she knocked out the Round 1 gold medallist to go into the final, but then lost to Alice Peardon from Dublin to take silver. Victoria Morris fought her way through to the other semi, but lost to Peardon to take bronze. Rachel McKillen and Alex Burke both made the quarter-finals, while Ruzi Statham and Angharad King were 9th and 10th.

Arnav Arava, Cameron Kitchen and Alexander Penny finished 12th, 15th and 19th in the U14 boys.

John Kane was the sole SU fencer in the U12 boys, finishing 7th.

Round 3 takes place on Saturday 13 January 2018 in Hunterhouse College in Belfast.
