Sullivan lost out in what was a thrilling final of the Burney Cup.
With a large crowd watching under the floodlights the game started and Wallace soon had a penalty corner, Sullivan new this was a big strength of theirs, it was defended well with the ball being cleared off the line. The game then settled in a cautious affair both teams. Both teams had good chances, Wallace then did score a penalty corner.

The second half start and 8 minutes in Wallace scored a second. This only started Sullivan, immediately replied with a goal from Harry Morris and soon after a drag flick by Paddy Crookshanks, from a penalty corner. Sullivan were on a roll, with Paddy Rose, eventually Man of the Match, running rings round Wallace. Sullivan took a deserved lead with Harry Yarr pouncing on a Wallace keeper save after a shot from Matthew Willis. But with less than 5 minutes left, Sullivan had two players given yellow cards, the pressure on the defence told and Wallace scored with only seconds left on the clock.
