Early season success for Sullivan pupils, Victoria Duxbury and Rachel Philpott, in the West of Ireland Open held at the National University of Ireland in Galway on Saturday 26 October 2013. Victoria won the event with Rachel third. Victoria won all her 11 matches, overcoming postgraduate students Katja Rybacova (Russia) and Joanna Romalho (Portugal) in the final. This result also promotes Victoria to the top of the rankings in Ireland.
Vitoria and Rachel will represent Northern Ireland in early November in the Senior 5 Nations tournament to be held at the University of Edinburgh.
Victoria has also been selected to represent Ireland in the Junior (U21) World Cup series in mid-November in Bratislava, Croati
