Ulster Athletics Results 2016

Congratulations to all those athletes who competed last weekend at the Ulster Athletics Competition. This was a very successful event for the pupils and school. Results are as follows:

Mini Girls Katie Kimber – 100m – 1st (13.79) Tara McDonough – 800m- 9th Erin Kennedy – Shot – 7th Madi Crawshay-Ralston – High Jump – 2nd (1.33) Relay team (Katie, Erin, Ella, Sarah) – 3rd

Mini Boys Rory Carson – 100m – 1st (12.92), Shot – 2nd(9.35) Adam Martin – 100m – 3rd Relay team (Rory, Adam, Elijah, Luke) – 1st (53.94)

Minor Girls Katie Monteith – 100m – 1st (12.98) NEW RECORD, Long Jump – 4th Relay team (Katie, Emma, Mary, Sasha) 7th

Minor Boys Johnny Moore – Long Jump – 3rd(5.18) Sam Rutherford – 75m Hurdles- 1st (12.42) Zac Mornaghan – 75m Hurdles – 4th Joshua Adetunji – High Jump – 4th

Junior Girls Rachel McCann – 100m – 3rd (13.28), 200m – 3rd(26.91) Emma Hanna – 1500m – 8th Sasha Barrett-Ferris – Javelin – 2nd(28.24), Discus – 3rd (26.34) Amy Kimber – Discus – 2nd (27.99), Javelin – 4th

Inter Girls Nia McNally – 3000m – 6th

Senior Boys Mark Burton – Triple Jump – 1st (13.92) Jonny Brattle – 5000m – 6th

Overall Ulster Top Teams Mini Boys – 1st Mini Girls – 2nd Junior Girls – 3rd

The following pupils now go on to compete in the Irish competition on the 4June:

Mark Burton, Sam Rutherford, Johnny Moore, Sasha Barrett-Ferris, Amy Kimber and Katie Monteith.

Unfortunately, there is no Irish competition for the Mini age group.
