  • Girls Hockey – Schools Cup

    Girls Hockey team won 3-2 v Coleraine High school in Ballymoney.   Zara Malseed scored 3 two penalty corners and one open play goal.

  • Great Sullivan Staff Bake Off 2013

    ullivan staff showed off their culinary skills in the ‘Great Sullivan Staff Bake Off 2013’. Competition was fierce and the judging tough for Mrs Steenson from the Silver Robin and past pupil Stephen Chisholm, winner of the great Irish bake Off 2013.  Third place when to Mrs Gorringe for her ‘Book Lover’s Cake’, second to Mrs Anderson who made a ‘Courgette Cake’ and first place to Mrs Hutchinson for her ‘Chocolate and Raspberry cake’. It was a fantastic opportunity for staff to gather together and share morning tea on a busy exceptional closure day!

  • National Christmas Jumper Day – 13 December 2013

    It’s National Christmas Jumper Day today! The staff and pupils are getting into festive spirit by wearing their Christmas jumpers and raising money for Save the Children at the same time on Friday 13 December 2013.

  • 1st XI Hockey

    The 1st XI girls are through to the quarter finals of the Senior Schools’ cup and will now play Rainey Endowed. The girls defeated Royal and Prior comfortably in the 1st round, then Victoria College, last year’s runners-up, 1-0 in the 2nd round and then Coleraine High School 3-2 in the 3rd round. The 2A XI, 2B XI and 3rd XI are all through to the 3rd rounds of their respective cups.

  • U14 Hockey Team

    The U14 have had a great run in the Junior School Cup. They defeated Dungannon 3-0 and then faced a strong Methodist College team. It was a hard fought match with the girls having to come from 1-0 down to win the game 2-1. They now face Belfast High School in the quarter finals.

  • NI Schools Trampolining Competition

    In the recent NI Schools Trampolining Competition, Sullivan retained the Schools Shield.  The following pupils have qualified for the Zonal Finals in February in Hull – Amy Berry, Suzy Carty, Anna Chambers, Emer Dobson, Sophie Finlay, Erin Fisher, Katie Fisher, Shauna Fulford, Nadia Kyle, Megan Laird, Sophie Todd and Kathleen Smartt.

  • Election of Parent Governors

    Election of Parent Governors Voting for the election of parent representatives on the Board of Governors closed at 12 noon on Friday 6 December 2013.Votes were counted in the presence of the Headmaster and the Chairperson of the Education Services Committee of the Board of Governors, Mrs Roberta Price.   • Trampolining Championships

    Megan Laird, came 1st in the U17 Northern Ireland girls intermediate trampolining championships held in early December 2013. Joanna Gallagher  came 2nd in the U17 novice section of the Northern Ireland Trampolining Championships.

  • Hockey News

    Congratulations to the 1st XI who defeated Victoria College on Saturday 1-0 in the 2nd round of the Senior Schools’ Cup, the girls had previously seen off Royal and Prior with an emphatic win and they now face Coleraine High School in the 3rd Round. (picture is of the 1st XI cup squad). Congratulations to the 2A XI who defeated Southern Regional College in the 1st round of the McDowell cup and they now face Royal School Dungannon. Congratulations to the U14 squad who beat Royal School Dungannon 3-0 in the 2nd round of the Junior Cup, they now face MCB on Saturday.

  • Fighting Words Workshop for Year 14

    Year 14 English Literature students went to a Fighting Words workshop in the Skainos Centre on Monday 4 November 2013. It was taken by Roddy Doyle and Glen Patterson and was the first Creative Writing workshop by Fighting Words in Northern Ireland. This was a hugely enjoyable experience both for the students and Mrs Gorringe and Mrs Hutchinson who accompanied them. Many students’ creative writing was greatly admired by the two authors!
